We understand the challenges that educators and students face in seeking language and cultural education. We have seen first-hand that student participation in language education and experiential learning are often not prioritized. Whether you are a current student, a professional wanting to enhance their proficiency, or a lifelong learner, the Oka Fund hopes to open new opportunities that previously seemed out of reach.
Get Inspired
Use the Oka Fund to support:
- Travel or registration for a Japanese language proficiency test
- Continued enrollment in a Japanese language class or cultural program
- Study abroad in Japan
Award Details
$250 (min) to $2,500 (max)
Eligibility
- Students in middle school, high school, post-secondary, or graduate education, or
- Professionals seeking Japanese language training
- Proof of enrollment in a Japanese language course or program required, such as an academic transcript, acceptance notice, or letter of support from an academic advisor
